STATUTORY DECLARATION ON RTI ACT

        Section 4(1)(b) of RTI Act 2005 covers the statutory declaration of Govt. College Tamnar, Raigarh on institution website. It covers all the rules and regulations which are implemented by Govt. of Chhattisgarh.

        Our College is a co-education college affiliated to Shaheed Nandkumar Patel Vishwavidyalaya, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The College was established by Higher Education, Govt.of Chhattisgarh. It is run under one administrative body a Governing Body established as per UGC norms. It runs as per rules and regulations made by the State Govt./UGC from time to time.

        The College has different bodies to maintain all types of disciplines in the campus. All the cells or committees of the institution are under Statutory Bodies and comes under section 4(1)(b) of  RTI Act 2005.

        Right to information means the right to information accessible under this act which is held by or under control of any public authority and includes the right to:

·        Inspection of work, documents, records

·        Taking notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or records

·        Taking certified samples of material

·        Obtaining information in the form of diskettes, floppies,tapes, video cassettes or in any other electronic mode or through print outs where such information is stored in a computer or in any other device.

        “INFORMATION”means any material in any form, including records, documents, memos e-mails,opinions, advices, press releases, circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts ,reports, papers, samples, models, data material held in any electronic form and information relating to any private body which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law for the time being in force.

Request for Obtaining Information :

        A person,who desires to obtain any information under this act, shall make a request in writing or through electronic means in English or Hindi or in the official language of the area in which the applicants being made accompanying such fee as may be prescribed to the Public Information Officer specifying the particulars of the information sought by him or her.

        The applications under the RTI Act along with a postal order/demand draft for Rs.10.00 obtained in favour of Principal,Govt. College Tamnar, may be sent to the Public Information Officer (PIO) or handed over in his office. All information about the college under Section 4(1)(b) of RTI Act 2005 are open for the public and it can be obtained by a citizen of India.
